Frequently asked questions about Windsor Lashes eyelash extensions

Windsor eyelash extensions

What are Eyelash Extensions?

Eyelash Extensions lengthen and thicken your own natural lashes. They are single strands of synthetic or mink eyelashes that are curved to replicate a natural lash. They are applied to each individual eyelash with a specially designed bonding agent for a natural, beautiful and luscious look. Eyelash Extensions are perfect for that special occasion or for day-to-day wear. They are virtually weightless and will not damage your natural lash so you can choose to wear them permanently.

Are Eyelash Extensions Harmful to My Own Eyelashes?

No, our eyelash extensions are applied onto your own natural eyelashes one by one (without touching the skin) with a bonding agent developed exclusively for eyelash extensions. This technique is not harmful to your natural eyelashes. The adhesive dries very soft on lashes allowing flexibility and comfort.

How are Eyelash Extensions Applied?

You will lie down with your eyes closed. The Eyelash professional will then apply an under eye gel pad to cover your lower lashes. The eyelash extensions will then be applied to each individual eyelash with a specially designed bonding agent. This procedure does not hurt at all and some consider it to be relaxing!

How Long can I wear the Eyelash Extensions?

With regular fills, you can keep your eyelash extensions for as long as you’d like.

Can I apply Mascara to My Eyelash Extensions?

You probably won’t need to although if you’d like to you can – as long as it’s a water-based mascara and not water-proof and you use a gentle water based eye make-up remover.

How Often will I need to get My Eyelash Extensions filled?

We recommend getting a fill every 2 to 3 weeks – depending on how quickly your eyelashes grow. If you wait too long between fills, you will require a full set.

Can I Remove My Eyelash Extensions?

Yes, we provide that service here at the studio. It is a simple procedure that doesn’t take long and we have a specially formulated removal solution that will break down the glue and safely remove your extensions without damaging your natural lashes.

*Do not attempt to remove the lash extensions yourself as this will cause premature pulling out of your natural lashes.

What kind of Eyelash Extension Training does your Staff Have?

Our technicians have their Lash Extension Certification from Toronto which provides an in-depth process of intense training and practice.

Are Eyelash Extensions Suitable for Everyone?

Anyone of any age can have eyelash extensions applied as long as there is a natural lash to glue the extension onto. Ladies who have undergone chemotherapy and their lashes are starting to grow back can also have this done! Eyelash extensions are suitable for people who wear contact lenses or glasses.

*IF YOU HAVE AN EYE INFECTION OR HAVE RECENTLY UNDERGONE AN EYE OPERATION OR COSMETIC EYE SURGERY IT WOULD BE BEST TO WAIT UNTIL THE EYE AREA HAS HEALED COMPLETELY.
